Veil Anti Laser Coating Test
The Veil is a new anti laser automotive coating that was tested at the Speed Measurement Laboratories
The first portion of the test, was to shoot the target vehicle without the Veil applied starting at 1000'
During the second portion of the test, the Veil coating was applied to the headlamps and the front license plate.
This coating was then applied to the front license plate and the headlights of the target vehicle.
During this second test, with the Veil applied, the laser gun operator had greater difficulty in obtaining a reading from the target vehicle and the effectiveness of his laser gun was reduced 50%.
