2005 Speed Product Testing Introduction

Annual Radar Detector Shoot-Out

As a retired police officer and as a certified traffic radar instructor, Radar Roy was again invited to participate in the Speed Measurement Laboratories "Annual Detector Tests 2005" in El Paso Texas on June 24th through 26th.

This year over fifty people, from around the world, representing major radar and laser detector counter measure manufacturers, radar and laser gun manufacturers, retailers, and members of various Texas Police Departments all met during this three day event. Evaluated were the very latest products for both police traffic enforcement and the civilian counter measure devices.

During the testing process, only certified law enforcement officers operated the detection equipment and also acted as reviewers of all the counter measure devices.
