Stealth Viper

A special project at the 2005 Radar Detector Shoot-Out was the "Stealth Viper". Blinder USA, the Veil Corporation, and RadarBusters.com teamed up and outfitted a 2005 Dodge Viper, provided by PlatinumRentals.net, with the very best in counter measure equipment.
A priority for this project was not only make the Viper Stealthy to police radar and laser, but also make it stealthy to the eye and to use products that were concealable.
The first item installed by the RadarBusters.com team was an Escort SR7 radar detector.
The control head was mounted in a center console compartment and an external speaker was mounted behind the drivers seat, to enable the driver to hear the activation of the unit when the Viper's top was down.
The concealed LED lights for both the Blinder and the SR7 were attached to the drivers sun visor. This method not only "stealthed" the install of the radar detector and the Blinder, but allowed the driver quick visual reference when either of the units were activated.
Blinder USA installed their Xtreme M-20 unit.
Each head was placed into the air intake vents along side the "European" style license plate. The control module was placed under the dash, and the speaker was also mounted behind the driver's seat.
The Laser Veil "Anti Laser Coating" was then applied to the front headlamps.
Then to provide protection against the photo radar cameras, Radar Roy had a VF1 Photo Radar Jammer installed on the rear license plate.
The VF1 is the only product of its kind that effectively blinds photo radar and red light cameras that use flash, by detecting the camera flash, then illuminating the license plate with a bright strobe light, over exposing the film.
