POP
Radar Detector Test
MPH has developed POP mode for use in their police radar guns three years ago. MPH claims the POP mode is so fast its transmissions cannot be detected by radar detectors. However, POP mode may not be used in issuing citations, as the speed cannot be locked and no droppler tone is generated, a requirement for establishing a "vehicle tracking history".

Furthermore POP is only operational in the stationary mode. MPH offers POP models in both the Ka band, 33.8 GHz and the K band, 24.150.
Each target vehicle with detector started at the 1000 foot and driven to the 500 foot cone. There were three passes to detect the K and Ka band POP modes.
"Y" means the detector detected POP mode, "N" means the detector did not detect the POP mode.
