Project
Stealth R1
In 2004 Two Wheel Tuner magazine featured this motorcycle as the Stealth Street Bike.
As the countermeasure equipment was becoming a little dated, Radar Roy decided to update the equipment.
The Escort 8500 was traded out for the newer X50 model with blue display, using the 13 mm stem mount and the H.A.R.D. system.

In fall of 2005, Blinder updated their m-20 and m-40 systems, by replacing the controller with a unit that would provide 50% more power to the LED heads. Another improvement was that they added the ability to reprogram itself when it encounters new laser threats.

One of the M-20 heads was installed under the front fairing and the second was attached to the rear license using the plate holder mount.
The R1's Escort radar detector and H.A.R.D. system was able to detect instant on radar at distances greater then two miles away.
The Lidatek LE-30 jammer was tested and was able to "jam to gun" as the bike approached the officer from the 1000 foot cones.
