Project
Stealth Vette

Another project vehicle at the 2006 SML test, was Stealthing out a 2006 Corvette C6 that will be featured in a future issue of Corvette magazine.

Participants in this project included Blinder U.S.A., Laser Veil and Radar Roy.

Blinder began this project by installing two M-20 systems, one for the front and one for the rear. This dual M-20 install would then be able to alert the drive if the laser alert they were receiving would be from the front or from the rear.

The two front Blinder heads were installed under the front bumper, in the front air intake

The two rear Blinder heads were installed under the rear bumper, just above each dual exhaust pipe.

Laser Veil applied a coating of Veil to the front headlamps of the Vette. In testing, the Veil was able to reduce the target range on the Corvette by as much as 60%.

With the Veil and the Blinder, the Vette has "Jam to Gun" while approaching the officer from a distance of over 2000 feet away.

Radar Roy installed a Beltronics STi Driver, hardwiring the unit to the sun visor. The STi alerted to instant on radar at over a two mile distance on all bands, and was completely invisible to all radar detector detectors, including the Spectre III.
