VEIL Testing
The VEIL is a liquid "stealth coating" that is designed to absorb the LIDAR energy from a police laser gun to reduce the range that the officer can obtain a speed reading.

The VEIL, when used with a good radar detector that is mounted properly (low on the windshield) will allow the driver more time to react and slow down, prior to the laser gun locking on and obtaining a speed reading.
Two test vehicles were used. One was a white Dodge Stratus and the second was a larger dark blue Pontiac. The aiming target areas during this test, was the vehicles headlamps.
