Overview

The Escort Max Ci is a remote mounted radar detector and categorized as a 5-Star extreme range detector, having 8 times the capture distance of police K and Ka radar guns.

The detector includes an internal GPS, which will alert you to fixed photo enforcement cameras and potential speed traps.

Police lidar enforcement now accounts for over 25% of the speed enforcement measurement devices used by police.

As a result, the Escort Max Ci also comes equipped with Escort’s latest shifting laser defense system.

Extreme Range Radar Detection

The Escort Max Ci utilizes Escort’s new M7 dual feed horn antenna design while also incorporating DSP technology.

The result is a detector that can detect even the weakest X, K, and Ka Radar miles away.

Front Facing Antenna & Laser Jamming

The Escort Max Ci 360 is Escort's first custom installed radar detector to come with two radar detector antennas, one for the front and one for the rear. You can purchase as an option a rear radar and laser jamming system to make your Max Ci a Ci 360 and then get the benefit of having directional information provided.

Sensitivity and Filtering

Because of the Ci's internal GPS it knows exactly how fast you’re going and can adjust the detector's sensitivity accordingly.

Why this is beneficial:

You’re driving at highway speeds, the Max Ci recognizes this and automatically switches to highway mode for maximum effectiveness.

Then, as you drive into a shopping center, which is surrounded by automatic door openers, the detector will dial down the sensitivity

The result is protection when you need it most without being annoyed by false alerts when you don’t.

Your Ci also comes equipped with a technology called AutoLearn, which enables your detector to learn and store known false alert locations based upon their exact location and frequency and then filter them out.

The result is a detector that isn’t going to pester you with a ton of false alerts like other radar detectors will.

Many state, county and city highway departments in the US have installed devices called traffic flow sensors (TSR) to measure the flow of traffic on city streets and highways.

These traffic flow sensors transmit a strong K band signal, which causes radar detectors to alert.

In response to this Escort has developed TSR rejection software to block out these annoying false alerts.
