Bel V895 Radar Detector
 The Beltronics Vector 895 scored impressive results during the Speed Measurement Laboratories 2005 Radar Detector Shoot Out and since its debut at the test, Radar Roy has received allot of inquires about this detector.
The Bel Vector 895 is the "little brother" to the Bel RX-55 Pro detector, having the basically the same features and performance. However, the Bel 895 is sold exclusively by Radio Shack.
The good features noted by Radar Roy is their modest price and the performance in the POP and long range testing at SML.
However, one downside Roy has noticed with both of these units is the increased falsing that both units will receive, over the highend Beltronics RX-65 or the Escort 8500 X50. "This is the number one complaint of radar detector owners" says Radar Roy.
Another downside with the Bel V895 is that it is not upgradable as the Bel Pro series, for new radar threats. Roy feels that this should be a major consideration, considering the new Ku threat emerging in the USA in 2006.
