Mounting ﾠ
The Blinder X-TREME series must be mounted on the front of the vehicle, with the optional rear unit placed near the rear license plate. Refer to the drawings for placement. The jammers perform equally well when mounted horizontally or vertically but must be mounted horizontal to the roadway and parallel to the direction of travel in order to work their best. The jammers should be mounted flush with, or project slightly outward from the grill.
For the M-10 X-TREME, place the unit in the center of the vehicle, just above the front license plate.
For the M-20 and M-30 X-TREME, mount the forward units half way between the license plate and each headlight. The distance between the two units should be 20 - 24 in. ( 50 - 60 cm.)
For the M-40 X-TREME, mount one forward unit as close as possible to each headlight. Mount one forward unit as close as possible to the front license plate, and mount the last forward unit in the center of the grill.
Horizontally and vertically
It is very important, that you mount the two BLINDER M-10's very carefully. The two units must point straight ahead. Otherwise the detectors and jammers will not function optimally.
Avoid positioning anything in front of, or obstruction the lens. The lens must project from, or lie flush with the grille.

ﾠThe Self Test Function
When the ignition is turned on, the upstart self-test function will turn-on the in-carbine alert for two seconds telling you that the BLINDER is ready to do its job.
ﾠElectrical Wiring
Find a suitable place for the interface box inside the car's interior. The interface box must not be located in the engine compartment because of moisture. The cables from the transivers are plugged into the jacks numbered 1 through 4.
Locate a suitable place for the buzzer laser alert and the warning/power on LED. The cable is plugged into the interface marked "alert". The LED will light green when power is on and red when the car is hit by a speed laser gun. The laser jamming starts automatically and continues until the speed laser gun is turned off.
The blue wire from the interface can be connected to the auto mute on the car stereo (see car stereo manual). The black wire from the interface is connected to a ground. The red wire from the interface is connected to the on/off switch is then connected by the extent ion cable to a 12-volt power supply.
ﾠService and control
Keep in mind that snow and dirt that gets on the lens decreases the output of the BLINDER'S range to where it may not detect or jam the police laser gun when you need it. Keep the lens clean and as free of debris as possible. Scratches and stone damage can also affect output. If the lens becomes too badly dam-aged, order replacement lenses separately.
ﾠDon't drive illegally
We recommend against driving recklessly or above the posted speed limit and assume no responsibility for the actions of any person that purchases or uses the BLINDER M-10 TWIN. We cannot replace your driving license, so drive legally, responsibly and carefully.
ﾠHow to use your new BLINDER
For avoiding any trouble with the police, we strongly recommend to follow the method mentioned below when dealing with police laser guns: At the moment when you hear the BLINDER warning signal, you must at once:
- Slow down if you are speeding
- Switch off the BLINDER
- In that way you will allow the police to get a clear speed measurement without making any attention. Sometimes the police need two or three shoots before getting a usable speed measurement.
Therefore turn off the BLINDER within a few seconds, and nobody will suspect that something is wrong!
