Page 2: How it WorksThe Spectre unmasks radar detectors by sweeping a larger spectrum and a higher frequency than previously possible. The Spectre also sweeps multiple bands. The first Spectre (Spectre I) was a success and was purchased by police agencies worldwide. All Spectre I models in North America have now been recalled and upgraded to either the Spectre 2 or Spectre 3 model. Cobra Electronics was the first radar detector manufacturer to challenge the Spectre.
