Stealth Ninja Radar Detector
There are several website's in Australia that are now selling a radar detector called the Stealth Ninja that they claim is the only radar detector that is fully digital, is immune to the Spectre II and the Spectre III, and also designed in AU.
Upon visual inspection of the product that these website's offer, one can clearly see that this unit appears to simular to the Rocky Mountain D-550 radar detector manufactured by Attowave in Korea.
Radar Roy has tested many of the products manufactured by Attowave that are sold as jammers and has on file numerous consumer complaints filed with the United States Federal Trade commission and El Paso Better Business Bureau.
Roy has also tested other Attowave products against the Spectre II and III.
On June 22, 2004 Roy tested the RMR D-550 with his Spectre II. The RMR D-550 was able to defeat the Spectre II, but also gave out constant false alerts on K band, making it completely useless as a radar detector.
Roy again tested this same RMR D-550 with his Spectre III model. The Spectre III alerted to this detector at a distance of 1323 feet away.
The RMR D-550 is manufactured by Attowave in Korea and at the 2004 SML Shootout Attowave had a proto type that they tested that was also immune to the Spectre II, but not the Spectre III.
These same AU website's are also selling a product that they advertise as the Stealth Ninja laser jammer.
This laser jammer is a "repackaged Laser Mimic" that Roy has tested on several occasions and found that it had little, or no effect in jamming police laser guns. For review on this product, click here.
