Red Light Cameras uses a special camera and computer technology to photograph the back and front of your vehicle as you run a red light. Based on the results a ticket is then issued to the owner of the vehicle.
Red Light Cameras operate at high angles to the direction of traffic flow. Using a passive, state-of-the-art light-bending lens, the camera is unable to identify your license plate when an Overhead Protector is used.

This device provides you with a false sense of security. I have received two red light camera tickets and a ticket from a police officer for improper display of license plate.

Turns out that I was flashed by a traffic camera finally and plate is as clear as day, giving me a nice $60 penalty to pay for. Unit does not work, and picture that I received in mail was as if it was never there....does not work

This plate is visible to the naked eye. Yes, it does block tolls, but I have been pulled over for having an obstruction over my plate. It saves on tolls though! It gets the job done, I just wish it was less noticeable.

This "overhead" protector also blinds out the plate from side angles. It makes the plate numbers very difficult to read and therefore the chances of getting pulled over are greatly increased. I would not recommend this product unless you are 100% it is legal to block view of your plate where you live.
