Shielding the plate numbers/letters to camera shots are excellant. The major, and I mean MAJOR fault is that other than standing straight behind the plate with shield attached, anyone viewing said license plate sees a BLANK plate! That means COPS will see that a obstruction device is shielding the plate if they are off to the side just a bit, such as driving in the next lane. The paranoia of watching for cops outweigh the same at a street light fitted with cameras. The product works too good, and the stated ad is misleading as to the human eye seeing a normal plate.

After installing I was unable to even read my plate from a few feet away unless it's a sunny day and am looking at it head on. It's just too much for normal everyday use. I took it off after trying it for a couple of days, because it seems to obvious you are trying to block your plate. I think it would attract cops just to pull you over because your plate is unreadable. I was looking for something that would be more visible to human eyes and less visible to camera eyes... but this thing makes your plate invisible to both... too conspicuous IMHO.

This product will totaly block out your plate. I returned it so I would not get a ticket for failure to display. I now have the basic overhead plate cover, and it works well.
