I have owned the STI driver for almost a year now, have went by many and I mean many OPP. It really is undetectable. This detector is for those that want to speed smart. There are so few rabbits now a days with the police seizing cars and bullying everyone into driving like a senior. This is perfect for those that want to avoid nuissance tickets. I drive a constant 30 over everywhere, but I still watch the highway for black and whites and respond even if the RD doesn't announce. Often they do not even have their detectors on, quick reaction time is important in these situations. Do not think you are immune from tickets with one of these, you have advance notice the second they try to track you or anyone around, infron ot behind you. Drive 50 over without a rabbit and you will get impounded, you will just know it before the others without a detector. Smart driving is still the name of this game. You now have an advantage, but you will not be immune. I loved the driver so much, I sold it to my best friend and upgrade to the magnum. It will be in tomorrow and this site has the fastest shipping and the best price than anywhere you will find. Great customer service too

I bought this product two weeks ago as my first RD. I've seen the Valentine One in action personally, as well as Whistlers, to the low-end Cobras. In short, this product blew them all away.

While the V1's reactivity and range is excellent, what sets the Magnum away from it is range, stealth, and a gross reduction of false alarms.

Another thing I liked was audio upramp matching the threat's range. While it does not have arrows like the V1, it does give you a good, approximate distance, which is equally, if not more important.

The ability to program your RD is an excellent feature as well. I keep my on threat display, to see just how many signals there are out there.

I use this both in the city for my commutes to work, and on the Highway, where I take my pleasure drives to relax.

Probably my favorite moment with the Magnum so far is right after I installed it (direct wire, of course), I wanted to take my car out and see what this baby could do. It was on Easter Sunday. I was approching a steep, tall hill, I recieved a Ka threat. Looking behind me, I saw no LEO's heading my way, so I figured the threat was right over the hill.

...There was no threat when I drove down the hill, and my threat indicator was showing weak Ka.

TWO MILES LATER, finally, the Magnum reached maximum alert right next to the source. It was a Dodge Charger Police Car that had been left running near a convienence store with its Stalker RADAR on, and it was tucked behind a building, off-axis, no less.

I couldn't believe it.

If I had any gripes about this RD so far it would be:

The rear antenna is adequate, but not as senstive as I'd like. I have come across I/O RADAR with this detector, and while the front performed as best as expected, there was a bit of lag when I passed the source with the rear antenna. Could have been just a fluke, but with I/O or Q/T, any sort of detection is impressive.

All in all, if someone wants to buy a high-end Radar Detector, with a plethoria of featutes, long range, and stealth capability, the STi Magnum will do it all for you in a simple, compact package.

The sole purpose for this buy was to have notification in the state of Va. It has paid off already...unmarked State Trooper was tailing me and took an exit. I followed as I was going the wrong way. Another driver blew by us and the Trooper busted them right in front of me. This thing is good!!!
