Very disapointed in this product. I'm going to call Cobra and see how swift their customer service is. The unit didn't alert me at actual speed traps and now it stays on Ka alert all the time. Took it off my windshield because I'm tired of hearing it.

Bottom line - Worth buying.
I used this product in the city and on the highway. It detects the radars with great reaction time and sensitivity. The GPS feature works great. Tells me how fast I am going (not really that cool since my speedometer does that), what direction and when I encounter danger areas or where the cops are often giving people tickets for speeding as one example. This product is worth the money.
The extension chord to the cigarette lighter was plenty long in my dodge truck.
Now for my only negative. When you receive the product the user will have to download from the Cobra website the GPS updater program. Then run that program to get updates from the Cobra Database. The problem was when installing the Cobra drivers it blue screened my windows 7. NO problem for me as I recognized the issue and re-installed them correctly. I saw on the blue screen it was a Cobra driver problem. However Cobra should fix this ASAP. Once past this problem things work fine. But a user who is not computer savvy could be really upset about that!
Another technical note is I still need to learn how to put my own danger areas onto the GPS. None of this is covered in the manual and it is misleading because when reading about the features it is advertised as an option. Seems to me that Cobra should make doing this a lot more easily discoverable.
