    I drive alot doing deliveries and I have actually lost my license before. I used to get tickets all the time. Since I installed this, not one ticket. It has GREAT sensitivity, IF MOUNTED CORRECTLY! It will not work right if it's not mounted properly! There have been MANY times I have heard an alert go off, I didn't see anyone until about a mile down the road. I have bought so many of the cheaper ($100 or so) detectors before, and there is NO WAY that any of those are even half this good. Proven once again, you get what you pay for. If you don't have the right tools or have never done a detector or subwoofer/amp install before it may take you an hour and a half or more to install.

    I installed the Qi45 w/ Laser Shifter Pack on my new VW GTI on Friday. It took a few hours, but most of that time was removing and reinstalling my grill and bumper cover. Other than that, the unit was a snap to install.

    The next morning, I was driving on the highway, well above the limit, when I heard something unusual. I glanced down at the display and saw "LASER SHIFT". Augh! I immediately slowed to within 5mph over the limit when I saw the State Trooper pointing his LiDAR gun at me. Hopeful that the shifter had done its job, I passed him and watched, waiting anxiously to see if he would pursue me. He didn't! If he got a reading, it was after I had slowed! Thank you Qi45!!!

    The only drawback is that the speaker is on the control unit installed under the dash. With the volume all the way up, I can't quite hear it with the radio turned up. Installing the additional warning LED should help, but I'd give it 5 stars if there was a line out for an external speaker.

    This detector alerts me to the situation well before other drivers can observe what is going on. Very low profile mounting which is nice, nothing to tempt thieves to break in. It also keeps the vehicle interior classy and clean while proving to be very practical. This detector paid for itself within a week!
