Radar detector, windshield suction mount, power SmartCord lighter adapter, travel case
The Escort RedLine Radar Detector is bad - as in, the "baddest" radar detector to hit the road in years. Escort engineers created the most sensitive radar/laser detector that provides the longest range. The dual-antennae design means it maximizes performance by band, giving you incredible range - for times when that extra few seconds of warning makes all the difference. Wrapped in a durable, magnesium case, the RedLine is also completely undetectable.
Dual Antennae Design
Redline's unique dual antennae system results in the greatest possible range for all radar signals, including “POP” and off-axis signals.
Patented Digital Signal Processing
AutoMode analyzes incoming signals and rejects false alarms.
Next Generation Laser Detection
Multiple laser sensors will detect even the tiniest amount of laser light.
Exclusive TotalShield Technology
TotalShield means stealth - the RedLine can't be detected by radar detector detectors.
Easy-To-Use Options and Controls
RedLine comes preset by the factory, or you can customize up to 8 features to your driving style.
Clear Digital Voice Alerts
Easy-to-understand digital voice alerts let you keep your eyes on the road.
High Definition Text Display
Bright and easy-to-read from any angle.
Performance Options
Levels of sensitivity include Auto NoX (filted but without X-Band), Auto (filtered mode), and Highway (full sensitivity).
Mute and AutoMute
During an alert, the AutoMute feature will automatically reduce the noise level. You can also press the mute button on the included SmartCord or on the detected to quite the alarm.
Brightness Control with Full Dark Mode
Who turned out the lights? You did, if you put the detector in full dark mode. Or choose from four levels of brightness.

[...] I read Radar Roys detailed cross country comparison review and knew the Redline was what I was looking for.I'm always late so I'm always in a hurry. Seconds count at the speeds I travel sometimes. I need long range detection more than other features. I've had the Redline two weeks and it's saved me at least twice already. Mobile Photo Radar is very weak radar but Redline picked it up in time. Stationary Ka band lights up like a banshee. As a matter of fact, my Redline has detected Ka band at a 90 deg angle tucked in an alley behind buildings from over a 1/4 mile away, an eighth of a mile off the road around a bend from a mile away, and detected the Ka in front of me that I was following in rural hilly terrain from over two miles away (I had to mute it because it just kept detecting it, and at that point he was not even visual)! Sometimes the X & K bands can be annoying, but to be safe I leave it on Highway mode all the time and just remember where those electronic doors are. If bells and whistles are your thing and think you need GPS features, go with the 9500ix, if you travel really fast most of the time in open terrain then you need long range detection like me. The Redline will deliver. The AutoMute is a great feature if you don't like annoying noises. Once the radar is detected, if the signal doesn't increase or stays steady the volume decreases automatically. And if you absolutely don't want to hear a signal after detection use the mute button on the plug (mine is by the shifter so it's right there at my fingertips). The Voice alerts are awesome and help keep your eyes on the road. The unit is well constructed and made of metal so it's very solid and kind of heavy and not cheap plastic like some models. The suction cups keep it in place even in my 3/4ton pick-up, over R.R. Tracks and detection is possible even in my TSX through the window tint. I can't wait to try it out on my Harley.Bottom line, yes, it is more money than some of the competition and I don't have anything to compare it to except an old (other brand) model. The reason I stopped using that one was it was annoying and didn't detect in time. But if you travel fast, can remember where the false hits are coming from and want quality in a name you can trust, get the Redline from Escort. If you drive like me, you won't be disappointed.Rob

The Redline feels very sturdy and durable. The materials used for the casing look and feel extremely durable.
I only owned this detector for two days and had to exchange it for a 9500ix. In the 10 mile stretch of Turnpike that I have to drive to work I received at least 4-6 false alerts. I believe these alerts were coming from the sensors that monitor traffic flow.
If I were using this detector for highway use only (from Miami to Orlando) I definitely keep it. But I mostly drive in small stretches of highway and city so the 9500ix seems like a better choice for me.

Comments about Escort RedLine Radar Detector:
The Redline radar detector has the best range I have ever seen. Quite a few false alarms but if you want sensitivity that can pick up a radar at the longest distances, it's one of the tradeoffs. Just hit mute and carry on. I mounted it under my mirror and looks fantastic. No regrets here. If you do most or all your driving in the city I would recommend the 9500ix as it cuts down on false alarms but doesn't have near the range as this dual antenna model. This model is highly recommended by me for rural driving with hills and curves and where long range is desired on highways/interstates. And the customer service at Radar Busters is second to none. Had an issue with the power cord and got handled quickly and accurately.
