Professional Driver Radar Detectors
Professional drivers need a professional radar detector!
Under Section 392.71 of title 40 of the Federal Department of Transportation, radar detectors are illegal in all commercial vehicles that weigh over 10,000 pounds.
Also radar detectors are illegal in Virginia and Washington D.C. in all motor vehicles.
Commercial Vehicle Law Enforcement and in the states where radar detectors are illegal, police use a device called a radar detector detectors (RDD).
The most lethal RDD is the Spectre II and the Spectre III.
As a retired police officer and a certified traffic radar instructor he has been the only person in the counter measure industry that has been able to obtain both a Spectre III and the newer Spectre MK3.
He has used these devices to test radar detectors abilities to defeat both of these devices. Thus far he has been able to identify only one radar detector that can, and that is the Beltronics STi Driver.

In January 2006, Radar Roy obtained one of the first Bel STi Driver units and tested it against VG2, the Spectre III and the Spectre MK3.
Nose to nose the STi was undetectable by all three RDD units.
So the choice is easy. If you are a professional driver that wants a detector that is not going to be sniffed out at the "chicken coops", the only choice is the STi driver. |
