February 12, 2024 Reviewer: Phillip from Brooklyn, NY United States   I bought the R4 because my R3 was not behaving and I wanted auto lockouts. Uniden has a major problem with over speed warnings that cannot be turned off with speed cameras on. I may be returning it as this is very annoying. Other detectors do not do this. Shipped and sold defective unit June 21, 2023 Reviewer: goldendeal from Hot Springs AR   Purchased a Uniden R4 from Radar Busters as after reading on their website they have a satisfaction guarantee that you won't be stuck with a radar that is defective.This is not the case. I have had the radar 3 days and could not hear anything coming out of the radar. I contacted Radar Busters on this issue and it was determined they sent me a unit with a speaker failure. Instead of making this right and sending a new unit to replace the defective one they want me to go through Uniden. A brand new unit! They will not take reasonability for sending a defective unit. I even offered to upgrade to the R7 so they would at least offer to send a working unit. No, I had to go through Uniden which has yet to contact me. Any other vendor would have taken responsibility for sending a damaged radar and replaced unit immediately. Not pass the buck to the manufacture. I have been waiting to hear from Uniden for 2 weeks. The unit is sitting in a box in my living room. $400 plus wasted. Buyer Beware! RadarBusters Response: Matthew, we have attempted communication with you several times via phone and have not received a return phone call and have also been working to resolve this issue to your satisfaction.   We have spoken to Uniden several times and we were arranging to get a replacement detector sent to you, but we have been informed by Uniden that they have attempted to contact you six times and have not gotten a response.  They are going to attempt to contact you again. We apologize that you received a unit from them that was defective but this is entirely out of our control and unfortunately given the sales volume of these units and the production numbers that rarely one does have an issue. In the meantime, despite your dissatisfaction, we have sent you a prepaid return label to return the unit to us for a full refund, since arranging a replacement has been difficult at best, Was this review helpful to you?

Uniden R4 May 18, 2023 Reviewer: Jerry Pliska from Port Clinton , OH United States   The Uniden R4 Seems to be a slight improvement in long range and additional bands over my R3. I certainly can't say I've ever been disappointed with either of them. I moved from the Escort brand years ago after reading reviews and price point and never have looked back. Great Product April 24, 2023 Reviewer: Larry C. from Nacogdoches, TX United States   I purchased the Uniden R3 a couple of years ago based on a review by radar busters and I was highly satisfied.  My son is about to go to college several states away and I wanted a quality radar that he could use so I came back to radar busters to check out the new radars after looking through your reviews I decided to get the Uniden R4 for myself and give my son the R3.  Love it!  It definitely works farther out than the R3 which was already great at long range detection.  Another great product by Uniden and great review by Radar Busters to give me confidence in my purchase decision.  Thanks!
