4 of 5 Great product, but... February 18, 2015
Reviewer: Craig Riggs from Longwood, FL United States
... be aware that the unit-to-fuse box wire is only 3 feet long.  This can be a challenge when attaching from the drivers area and routing to the starboard side of the cabin to reach the fuse box on certain cars (i.e. 2014 Mustang).  Even though it's a small cockpit, the wire may not reach depending on how you route it.
So be prepared to splice another piece of single conductor to that hot wire (the ground doesn't HAVE to reach the fuse box, hook it anywhere you find metal) ...the wire to the RD is fine, 8 feet, plus you can route it either direction and up, so no problem.  And that would be the hard one to deal with, 'cuz the hot wire is an easy fix...as long as you know about it.

Other than that...just peachy, thank you very much!

Oh, and don't miss Roy's tutorial on the installation on this...sure you think it's simple, but I wouldn't have thought about using an add-a-circuit to the radio fuse if I had passed on it, and guaranteed that's the shizzel for hook up!

Easy to mute. Love the way it is concealed in my Tundra. Also, the LED indicator flashes with alerts so when listening to loud music you can still be notified.

Great for "stealth mode" and no coily wires going into the cigarette lighter.

Only took me about 30 min to install out of the box.  Mount the detector high, dim the display to help stealth your detector. This is easy to see right with the gages, helps keep your eyes on the road.  Plus it just looks cool.

4 of 5 Works as advertised November 8, 2011
Reviewer: Jake from PLANO,TX
I like the product and it's performance, and ease of installation, but the mid-line splice created by the ScotchLock connector compromises the 12V power supply wire. Because I have installed the unit on my motorcycle, and it is subject to the elements (ie; rain) I direct-wired it into the system.
