The system is compact and appears to be well-made. The receiving/transmitting heads are easy to mount due to their small size. The CPU is a little trickier. Apparently Blinder feels that mounting it on top of the dashboard is the best option, as they built the speaker into the top of the unit. So much for being inconspicuous, especially considering 5 different cords plug into the back and sides of the unit. The installer came up with a better solution. Blinder should consider redesigning that part of the system, perhaps with a separate speaker, like LI. Also, since the CPU is so compact and therefore so must be the built-in speaker, the volume, while not bad, could be a little louder. I haven_Ñét encountered any LIDAR since the system was installed. I did test it using a tester which I also purchased from PowerSportsUS.com. The Blinder system alerts and recognizes 9 of the 13 programmed police laser frequencies. Hopefully the ones it missed are not the ones I_Ñéll run into.
