Introduction: The Cannonball RunRadar Roy Sponsors Cannonball Participants! Radar Roy was asked by the Catalyst Racing Team to stealth their entry into the famous Cannonball Race! NO TICKETS! The team has completed their Cannonball Run, and during their trek across the United States, they received NO TICKETS. They were virtually invisible to law enforcement! Cannonball Run History The Cannonball Run dates back to the early 1970's and was created by Brock Yates, former Senior Editor of Car and Driver Magazine with the Sea-to-Shining-Sea Trophy Dash. The race from New York City to Redondo Beach, California was a no holds barred race to prove that "competent, well trained drivers can indeed safely navigate the American Highways at speeds somewhat in excess of the posted speed limits". ultimately spawned two Hollywood films (Cannonball and Cannonball 2) and a legion of fans. Today, known as the Cannonball One Lap of America, drivers compete in a set of challenges along a 5,000 mile route lapping the United States for a chance to win the first place trophy. Catalyst Racing Team Needs THE BEST STEALTH! Catalyst Racing Team For preparation for the both the 2005 and the 2006 race, the Catalyst Racing Team contacted Radar Roy to outfit their car with the latest in radar and laser countermeasure devices, to avoid those costly and time consuming traffic citations along their route. |
