Our laser tester operates on a 9V battery that is included. Press and hold the center button for 2 seconds until the red light glows, then point the tester towards the laser receiver that is being tested. This IR (infra-red) transmitter can potentially transmit a harmful invisible light. Do NOT look at the tester when in use.
The laser tester is NOT waterproof. Do not use in wet conditions. Radar Roy suggests that you remove the battery when not in use. This will prevent battery leakage.This tester has 4 modes of operation. Also, it will automatically cycle to the next pulse rate with a slight pause between each one, Releasing the buttom starts the cycle over again.
1. 100pps - U.S guns such as the LTI Ultalyte.
2. 125pps - U.S. guns such as the LTI Marksman and Ultralyte 20/20.
3. 200pps - U.S. guns such as the Kustom Prolite and Pro Laser III.
xxxxpps - future use high pulse rate, close to some European units.
