This specially designed Anti-laser license plate lens works to absorb and diffuse the incoming laser beam. This significantly shortens the effective distance of the laser gun. Does not obstruct view of license plate numbers. Legal to use in most areas!


How do laser guns work?
Laser guns work by emitting a laser beam which is bounced off a flat, reflective surface on your vehicle. Your license plate is the preferred area of the vehicle that a laser is pointed against by the operator. Conventional laser detectors are ineffective. Even if you do detect the beam, it's too late.     As someone that spends a significant amount of time on the road, particularly the interstate, I enjoy eating up the miles at faster than posted speeds. The Laser Shield cover does what it is intended to do, give someone who does not have jammers a bit of extra time to see and react to a cop. Living in Virginia, there are strict laws about detectors and jammers, but a non-tinted license plate cover is generally not a problem here, and I have more than one set of covers in use. During a cross country run last year, I was targeted with laser in Missouri while doing 27 over the posted limit, and thanks to this cover in conjunction with Veil, I was able to slow down in time to avoid a ticket.

    At a minimum it will protect your licensce plate from rocks, bugs and wear. I live in Virginia and use it with my Beltronics STI which is invisable to detector dectors. I hope it will help give me and extra second or so to slow down. In Chesterfield they use laser on an open stretch of Route 360 which is more for easy tickets than actual safty issues.

        No way to really know if this works or not, but the very first day I had it, an Ohio trooper tried for about 7 seconds to get my speed via laser (laser detector was going off the whole time.)

        I was going around 90mph when he started trying to get my speed, so I think if he did get my speed, he would have pulled me over.

            Use this for my back plate, no tickets, but can't be sure that I've ever been lazered from the back. I also use this with veil. Owned since 2008 but this DOES YELLOW, at least in sunny Florida. Expect 2 years of use before needing a replacement.

                      Coming into a small town on my way home from work, you can sometimes count on the county sherrif waiting for you. The one time I completely forgot, my Beltronics RX65 went crazy with Laser detection and I hit the brakes. I know I was going 45 in a 35. I would say I was 300 feet or 100 yds from him. In this case it had to be the Lazer Shield that worked. So, I know I got the true test of this product.
