Worth upgrading too September 9, 2013 Reviewer: bhm1jmk from Pachuta, Ms   It works great in all listed features. I own two now this one and the older model 8500 for my R1. Ability of detection the Ka band July 10, 2013 Reviewer: Kenneth from San Jose, CA   Great product! Saved me on the first day. I haven't gotten into any of the advanced functions yet, it works great out of the box. The speed display when an alert is given is a nice feature and very accurate. Would recommend this product to anyone. I wish I had this 3 months earlier, it would have saved me from the only ticket I've gotten in years. Was this review helpful to you?

Solid Radar Detector July 10, 2013 Reviewer: lawdog from Ontario, Canada   I got this for my bday and gave one to my husband for Xmas. So far it has saved me from getting a ticket a few times since I got in October. The only thing is that sometimes it doesn't give you a consistent alert, at times it's very sensitive but sometimes it doesn't react right away.  It's really good at detecting the variouse frequencies like "pop" ,X, and of course laser.
