5 of 5 Retired Highway PatrolÄ February 13, 2011
Reviewer: Buckshot from NEWARK,OH
As a retired NYPD Highway Patrolman I can tell you that no matter what the detection model you buy, it doesn't necessarily make it's RADAR/LIDR free. However, for the distance on this unit when using for laser or radar detection it's wonderful. But if you get a "quick flash" on your display, you're in.

5 of 5 Great Detector for the price February 6, 2011
Reviewer: FZ1 runner from OH
Great radar detector.  I paid about [$] (new) for it and it has been worth the money.  Sometimes it will go off a mile before we drive up on a cop/trooper on the side of the road.  Very accurate in my opinion and very few false reads (we keep it on City, Low X most of the time).  Would definitely recommend for the budget-minded consumer.  Only issue was getting it to stay mounted on the windshield.

5 of 5 MY HUSBAND WAS THRILLED WITH RX65 December 17, 2010
Reviewer: sscampbell from florida
MY HUSBAND PULLS A SEVEN HORSE TRAILER LONG DISTANCES AND ALMOST ALWAYS IS OVER THE SPEED LIMIT BY 10 MPH. HE ABSOLUTELY LOVED USING HIS RX65 FOR THE FIRST TIME AND KNOWING WHERE  RADAR WAS BEING USED. IT'S THE BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT I EVER BOUGHT HIM.

5 of 5 Just purchased my second one November 26, 2010

I have never known the RX65 to give a false reading. But be ready to cram on the brakes, especially when the alert is from laser!

5 of 5 Awesome Detector November 12, 2010
Reviewer: Big Lee from Santa Rosa, CA
Overall very good detector.  I have owned several, and this is the best by far.  It is easy to use, easy to understand, you would have to have WAY too much time on your hands to use the frequency display.  It does pick up signals with enough warning to slow down.  Though the down side to having a detector so sensitive is it does false in city, but you kinda memorize where it falses and ignore it.

5 of 5 Great Product September 20, 2010
Reviewer: SpongeBob from Twin Cities
I placed this detector on the windshield and left it set to auto and it works great. Yes it does give false reads at times, but it is better to be safe than sorry. It is a great product and I would suggest this to anyone in the market for a radar detector

5 of 5 Excellent Detector August 9, 2010
Reviewer: Crusty from Santa Cruz, CA
I have owned this detector for 2 years and have used it extensively on highways patrolled by radar equipped PD vehicles. I have had no problems with the unit and it has performed flawlessly.

5 of 5 WORTH EVERY PENNY July 27, 2010
Reviewer: LDM from COLUMBUS,IN
At first I was thrown off by the price, but after getting the heads up on I5 4+ times, I soon realized this was the ultimate in Radar Protection. It has saved my butt more times than I can remember...and most of the time it's just revenue hungry towns and counties! Beware!

4 of 5 Best radar detector in it's class June 27, 2010
Reviewer: Mr. Mel from Greensboro, NC
I read all the comments posted until today. I'm using this detector since one year and I can affirm that is THE BEST ONE I ever saw/tested. I had roghly 65,000km (~40,000 miles) last year with my car and no radar ticket! It saved me more than 30 times in my country and almost the same ammount of times across the Europe. And immagine that in Romania radars are on K and Ka band, in Hungary on Laser.

5 of 5 Very good for the money. May 9, 2010
Reviewer: Commando Commut from GLYNN,LA
Beltronics Pro RX65 is an excellent radar detector for the money over.Good Ka range and K band is better then my Escort 9500ix. Using the Bel RX65 in Autoscan mode helps reduce false alarms. Recommend using Bel RX65 in Ka USA mode. Only complaint that the audio alert was more solid like Escort 8500 X50.
