The BELTRONICS STiR Plus is an Installed High Performance Stealth Defense System. The STiR's GPS powered technology provides permanent relief from false alarms including automatic door openers, motion sensors and other radar-based sensors. And, it comes preloaded with thousands of red light and fixed position speed camera locations throughout North America.

The STiR Plus can be easily updated using your Windows based computer and the power of the internet. Simply connect the STiR Plus to a computer with an active Internet connection, log on to our website, and download the most up to date locations. You can even back up your data or update the STiR's operating software, (firmware), when available. The database is updated weekly, and Beltronics provides three years of downloadable updates for free.

The STiR Plus Comes Complete with a comprehensive owner’s manual and installation manual, separate display and controller for multiple installation options, front radar/laser receiver, 12-volt interface module, 12-volt amplifed speaker, a bi-color LED, all necessary hardware and three years of downloadable updates.

I just got this system and it works great. Installation took about 2 hours. I mounted the sensor inside the front grill with 100% front view. The display and panel blend right in with my car's dash. No more hanging power cords. User interface from my LapTop was nice, you can program detail features with the downloaded application. You can also download the log file from the system, detailing each incident with the signal,... frequency, time, headings and etc...Worth every penny. System picked up signals well and false alarm was almost none existence. You can set your own preferrences from the computer application or from the dash pad. I don't speed, just want something to make me feel more confident catching up with the flow of the traffic or when I am driving alone down the country side with the unknowns. I will get another one for my wife's vehicle.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Got one from RadarBusters and they shipped it fast. The unit took me 2 hours to install in my vehicle. The front antena was mounted inside the front grill with 100% view. The system works great and programming it with my laptop was easy, so intuitive, that any one can do it. Love the update software and user interface. The inside display and controls looks awesome. You can even download events stored in the system. It has log files of every radar encounters, with details. It shows headings, speed, what time of signals and what kind of variations accompanied with the data. Love it, worth every penny spent. No messing cables hanging like dash mount radar detectors. This system blends in to your vehicle and makes me feel more confident driving out there.

The first unit that I received was defective and then only way to get another quickly was to pay for the second. It also took the installer changing out several components and spending a lot of time on the phone with Belltronics trouble shooting. [...] All in all, I am pleased with both the product (I live on the border of TN/VA and was likely to get caught with regular detector in window) [...]
