Tests

Radar Roy's Tests

Radar Roy tested the Cruisader at the 2005 SML Radar Detector Shootout and at his test location in Arizona.

The install on an R1 took approximately 90 minutes and was a clean, good looking unit.

The Cruisader had good range on all radar detector bands.

The heads up display receiver is designed to mount inside the helmet, under the padding. Some riders may find this location uncomfortable or awkward.

Comments about Whistler Cruisader Motorcycle Radar Detector:

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone in search of a Radar Detector for their motorcycle. However, I don't think this product is very useful without the Wireless In Helmet Display. This device should come with the kit as a standard offering, not as an option. How can someone be paying attention to a small light bulb alert (mounted somewhere on the motorcycle)or to the detector indicator when riding, if they are supposed to be paying attention to the traffic and the road?
