Excellent Detector November 25, 2012 Reviewer: Daniel from LAS VEGAS NV.   This device is exceptional in detecting instant on, over the hill and around the curve, needless to say constant on radar. I have put this animal to the test and it definitely gets a thumbs up. I give myself a 5 minute rule or longer depending on the situation. If I'm on the highway and get a weak signal I will respect that detection by monitoring my speed for such length of time. Was this review helpful to you?

It beat them up November 3, 2012 Reviewer: dan from Oregon City, Or   Lampasas Texas has 17 officers for a town of a few thousand, However 3 major highways converge there and there are always 3 or more radar units working and making $$$$ Average ticket with Admin fees is over $150.00 Doesn't take long to pay for your detector here!! The 8500X50  gets them on the other end of town and in the bushes!! This is the Ft Hood area and prime hunting grounds. Was this review helpful to you?

Escort Passport 8500 X50 September 26, 2012 Reviewer: Tony from TEXAS   Use this in town, and I would have to say it has saved me about 30 times thats in a year. Local driving. Never has came close to letting me down on the highway, can't count how many tickets' it has saved me. I have a heavy foot. Quality Counts August 4, 2012 Reviewer: Road Runnin' R from Chicago, IL.   I had another brand before and what a difference with the Escort. I don't get all of the building alarm false signals. I also love the light on the power cord. I kept the unit on my dash board with a hand towel over it. I can always tell that it's working because there's a blue light on the device that plugs into the power socket. Was this review helpful to you?

Best of the Best May 18, 2012 Reviewer: 1536walt from St Louis, MO   Living in a state where radar detectors are illegal is tough. This makes it easy. The X50 detects so far in advance that If I want, I can take it down casually and pretend it was never there, with time to spare. Love it.
