Police Enforcement Tactics and Equipment by State

To properly protect yourself from an expensive speeding ticket, you first need to have an understanding of the equipment and the tactics police use in the area you live or plan on traveling to.

Because of this we have created this section of our site.

Since the inception of our website RadarBusters back in 1996, we have accumulated the following data from customers, our forum, from our law enforcement contacts and through public information inquires in an attempt to provide you with the most accurate and comprehensive data available.

However some of the data maybe dated, as an example the notation of the use of X-band in South Dakota.

This entry was made in 2007 when we encountered an X-band radar gun during the Sturgis motorcycle rally, which was used by the National Park Service at Mount Rushmore National Park.

Because of this it’s recommended that you click on the corresponding state you’re interested in obtaining data and review additional notes.

You’re also encouraged to make your own contribution in our endeavor by adding your comment, in the comment area on the corresponding page(s).
